Let's be realistic for a moment. Based on my own experience not all strategies will turn out to be profitable. However, we need to remember that we only need a few stable systems in our portfolio to be successful in the long term. In validation period we will test many different strategies, systems with several different settings on several different trading symbols. This can easily explode. Furthermore, we need to ensure that all systems will run continuously without being affected by unexpected events, like unexpected windows OS update, power loss, internet connection loss.  That is why we need to run our test strategies on a remote PC, with power backup and stable internet connection. We can not do it on our personal PCs and laptops! These are not stable enough. We need to use a VPS (Virtual Private Server), it's a must! If you do not know where to find one, you can check out the VPS I am using:

I have good experience with this trading VPS hoster. Start from $12,99/month. I use it for 2 years without any trouble.  The 3 GB RAM Plan is enough for running 24 MT platforms.

Another one I have used it Vultr.com

Even thought they are a little higher priced spec-for-spec, the one cool thing they do is charging by the hour (based on the monthly rate). So like 3.9 cents per hour for their low end windows VPS. This is nice if you are just getting started and not sure you're ready to commit to a whole month yet. Plus they have server centers all over the world in something like 16 major cities.

One of SQ users from official SQ forum found this one, very cheap but untested! Link HERE.

I came upon this offer in the following link, that is called “KVM special 3”:

https://virmach.com/special-offers

In short, for a NY based VPS, that goes for a Total of $31.50 USD per year (!), you get:

– 3GB RAM
– 2x vCPU
– 40GB SSD (RAID 10)
– 3TB Bandwidth
– 2/10Gbps uplink
– 1x Dedicated IPv4
– KVM/SolusVM
– Windows Server OS

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly..in the end you can run multiple systems on your MT4 which is installed on your VPS and connected to one broker.

You can run multiple strategies on one VPS one account and one the same MT4. You just need to make sure you can handle the resulting DD.

Hello

I am a new user of StrategyQuant, am a forex trader and regularly test EA's on the MT4 Strategy Tester. I would like to mention that you can

find a VPS in the MT4 Platform when you have it up by clicking on the 10th icon from the left at the top. Click on this " Register a Virtual Server" icon.

You can follow the steps to use the VPS, but importantly, before then you need to go to the platform that you will be using for the EA. On this

platform go to file at the top, click on it, go to Log In To Trade Account, and click there. You will find your login number, which is how the broker

knows which platform you are using. Write the number down, then get the platform ready for use by deleting all extra indicators and experts.

Make sure that your EA is the latest upgrade and that there is a copy of the EA's indicators in Data Folder/MQL4/Indicators.

When you go to start the "migration" you will be asked for the platform number, The broker, and type of account.

I just signed up for a KVS VPS and am trying to figure it out, will let everyone know about it.
